This golf course is very strict with the rules and regulations it enforces. Some things that the course prohibits include metal spiked shoes, backward hats, laying on the course, and golf carts. The restriction of things like metal spikes and golf carts is to protect the turf from damage as it is cared for constantly. 

Although there are no golf carts allowed on the actual course, there are still golf carts at Augusta National. The course has employees whose job is to take players from the clubhouse to the first hole and also to the practice tees. These are the only places that golf carts are located in the area. This means that there are no golf cart paths that players take from hole to hole.

Cart Drivers at Augusta National

At Augusta National, there are actually employees that are paid to run the golf carts at the course. Drivers will pick up players from the clubhouse and take them to hole 1 or to the practice tees. These are some of the only places that golf carts are driven around the Augusta National golf course. The cart drivers do the same thing at the Master’s tournament every year. Agusta National also provides its members with transportation to and from the airport. The course chauffeurs the players in new Mercedes Benz SUVs. Everything about this golf course is luxurious and this is why the most prestigious golf tournament in the world is played here.

Do Most Regular Courses have golf cart paths?

The golf course at Augusta National is a rare case in not having golf cart paths. The course does not have golf cart paths because of the beautiful landscaping. Most regular golf courses have some sort of golf cart paths and you are also allowed to drive onto the course itself. Augusta National does not allow this because of the time and money that is put into maintaining the course’s beautiful look.
